GOALS FOR THE DISSEMINATION OF SPORTS SCIENCE

As a journal focused on the dissemination of scientific research in sports, our goal is to identify and promote relevant scientific work in the sports field with a multidisciplinary approach, supported by official sports disciplines*. We also aim to produce versions in as many languages as possible, especially in SPORTS MAGAZINE's native language. Furthermore, as recommended by the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors), "secondary publication of material published in other journals or online may be justifiable and beneficial, especially when intended to disseminate important information to the widest possible audience."

According to the journal's editor, Paulo Rosa: "We are focused on five methods of dissemination or helping the dissemination process: 1) popularization beyond academia; 2) multilingual publication and appreciation of the native language; 3) promotion of accessibility; 4) investment in responsive design and 5) recovery and translation of physical or difficult-to-access material"; and continues "we need to remove from invisibility journals specialized in sports and scientists in the field to reach a new level of equality in the global sphere."
