Resumo

Pouco se sabe sobre a conjuntura, os fatores correlacionados e o conteúdo das orientações de profissionais de saúde sobre atividade física (AF) para adultos com artrite. Analisamos dados do estudo transversal Porter Novelli FallStyles, realizado com adultos não institucionalizados nos EUA. Entre os adultos com artrite, avaliamos a atualidade das orientações sobre AF fornecidas pelos profissionais de saúde; o conteúdo dessas orientações, incluindo avaliação/triagem e aconselhamento sobre AF; e as recomendações. Os dados foram ponderados por sexo, idade, renda familiar, raça e etnia, tamanho da família, escolaridade, região censitária e localização metropolitana.
